Healthy Mediterranean Cooking
     
Current evidence suggests that the traditional Mediterranean diet provides substantial protection against heart disease. Recent research (British Medical Journal, May 2008) shows this diet can also lower the risk of Type II Diabetes. There is additional research that shows the Mediterranean diet also helps prevent colon cancer, reduces the risk of Alzheimers disease, helps ward off childhood asthma and allergy as well as leading to a longer, better quality life. The Mediterranean diet is rich in olive oil, grains, fruits, nuts, vegetables and fish, but low in meat, dairy products and alcohol.

Dr. Nita Bishop, ND of Granite Falls Naturopathic Medicine will be explaining why the foods and herbs of Mediterranean cuisine are beneficial to your health.

Price includes your Mediterranean Quick start package consisting of: 1 large can of high quality Greek Extra virgin olive oil, olives, feta cheese, pita bread, organic basil spices all imported from Greece.

     

Payments are made by contacting Dr. Nita.

    

You can pay in full or make a 50% deposit.

 

There is a 10% discount if you pay for more than one class.
